Jade Tiger Abalone™ is a unique breed of Australian Abalone and was the world’s first ASC certified sustainable source of abalone. Situated on the pristine coast of the Bellarine Peninsula, 100 kilometers from Melbourne, Jade Tiger is headquartered on our fully integrated aquaculture site. Comprising of hatchery, nursery, grow out and export facility, it is Australia’s largest environmentally sustainable abalone aquaculture facility. Covering ten hectares, including 400 grow out tanks with a surface area of 20,000 sqm, it is capable of producing over 200mt of abalone per year.

Operations have now expanded to include two additional sites. One at Avalon in Victoria produces 50mt per year and our newest site at Dunalley, on Tasmania’s rugged East Coast, produces 150mt per year. Our total group production now stands at over 400mt per year of high quality Australian abalone. All Jade Tiger Abalone™ is grown without use of any antibiotics, growth hormones or other chemicals.

Nurtured in the pristine waters of the Great Southern Ocean, Jade Tiger Abalone™ is fed by the cold, oxygenated and nutrient rich waters that sweep up from the Antarctic. The product is distinct in appearance with a stunning jade green shell and tiger striped foot. It is renowned for its sweet, tender, pearl-white flesh.

Much sought after, Jade Tiger Abalone™ is available in three presentations. Our live abalone is airfreighted around the world for use by some of the worlds best restaurants – in cities such as Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo & New York. Our canned abalone is treasured as both a high quality gift and foodservice line.

Our Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) abalone is frozen from live, making sashimi quality abalone available in both frozen retail and foodservice packs. Export markets include: China, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, UAE, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia. Our accreditations include ASC, HACCP & DAFF.
